A good laugh

I couldn't help copy this from Angie's blog...every time Clark and I look at it we get laughing SO hard. I have never seen pure terror depicted so well as it is in this picture by McKenna and Ava.

San Antonio Fun

This past weekend we met Don, Angie and kids in San Antonio. They let us stay in their hotel and we had a blast! Thanks Don and Angie! It was 80 degrees and PERFECT weather!

Hello Shamu!

Sea World was fun!

This picture doesn't do the River Walk justice, but there is a river through San Antonio with lots of resturants, shops, etc. There were lots of people...and lots of stairs to carry the stroller up and down!

Cute Jacob and Clark and McKenna floating in the lazy river

They sent us home with the left over food, which included 3 pints of ice cream, we already had 2...so yes...we have 5 pints of ice cream in our freezer...talk about temptation!

Pumpkins and Camping

We got to carve pumpkins with Chris and Mardi (cousins) and their cute sons Eli and Tate this past Monday night for family night. We had such a good time and are so glad that they are close by us! Mardi isn't in any of these pictures but cooked a delicious dinner and inspired me once again to use coupons when I shop after she showed me all of her great deals!

Clark and I went camping this weekend and used our birthday tent. We finally got out into Texas and saw some open land and fields. On our way back we saw this sign that said "Exotic Animals For Sale" and there was this huge farm with Zebras, Kangaroos, Camels, Gazelles, etc. So, if anyone wants an exotic animal for Christmas...let us know and we'll pick it up for you!

We had such a good time camping...thanks to Roy and Brenda for the warm sleeping bags and to my parents for the pocket rocket which allowed us warm hot chocolate in the morning!

I'm glad my husband was born 26 years ago!

Grandma Wyatt gave us this frame and we got a mat made to fit it for our wedding pictures...Thanks Grandma Wyatt!

With the cooler weather our plants have been blooming, we had 9-10 bell peppers on this plant, then one day we came home, and half of it had snapped off! Clark was devastated!

Hopefully these tomatoes keep growing!

Clark and I decided to give ourselves a tent for our birthdays, this was our first one, it was so big, that it didn't fit in our apartment, so we took it back and got one that's a little more our size!
We're going camping next weekend to try it all out. I'm excited.

Clark with his new birthday camping toys and clothes! Happy Birthday Clark!

(Brenda, Clark hasn't had a hair cut since you were here to visit, I finally cut it last night, so he now has the clean cut Wyatt hair once again!)

Lovin Life Again!

This post may be boring, but I want to record my change of heart in Texas and a couple things I've been thinking about lately. The first couple months Texas was just...another place to live and work and go to school...and it was really hot...and I didn't have family near to ease the monotony of work and school.

One day I decided that I needed to change my attitude, because I hated BYU-Idaho for the first little while, and it is now one of my favorite places on earth. So I tried to find things to love about Texas...I didn't come up with many at first...but then a cold front came along...and I started to feel fall in the air!

I LOVE fall, even though the trees don't change colors here, if I close my eyes, it feels like a good old Utah/Idaho fall! I love wearing sweaters, I love sleeping with a blanket again! I am a new person...and I'm loving life! Me and Clark sit out on our balcony, our pepper plants are finally producing peppers, we go to the park and play frisbee, we went to a forest area near us and walked through the trails...it's been great.
These are pictures of fall that my Grandpa and Grandma from Utah sent me, I love the colors!

I also LOVE General Conference...speaking of which, something that Elder Eyring said during the R.S. Broadcast was that the early founders of the LDS hospital finally sold the hospital because their talents and energies were needed by the Lord in different places. Sometimes there are changes in our lives and even though what we were doing may have been good, the Lord needs our talents in different places now. It helps us grow.

Lastly, here are a couple pictures that make me laugh every time I see them. I am the speed component in our marriage, and Clark is the quality control. Here are a couple of "quality control" notes I have found posted around our apartment!

(This is a non-stick pan that I constantly forget and spray with PAM)

(Clark is scared I will catch our apartment on fire because I often forget to empty the lint!!)

The picture above may be one of my all time favorites!

I love these girls.

Some of them will probably not be happy that I put a couple of these pictures up.

But I was laughing so hard when I was looking at them.

We had such good times.

Visitors and Go cougs!

Don and Angie came to visit us and go to the BYU game. We had a good time seeing the sights of Dallas/Fort Worth and going to the Football game. It was so fun having family here!

Just a little spotlight on Angie, we walked to the stadium because the parking was expensive and traffic horrible. So me and Angie changed out of our flip-flops and into "comfortable" shoes. She wore my running shoes, and I wore what I thought were comfortable shoes.

By the time we made it to the stadium, I had blisters on my heels and both little toes and I was hurting! Both Angie and I had worn the thin invisible socks, so we didn't have much padding from our socks. On the way home Clark walked in his socks for awhile while I wore his shoes, then Angie had a good idea that she and Clark should switch socks, that way she would have padding and could wear the uncomfortable shoes and I could wear the running shoes to relieve the blisters.

So yes...Angie wore Clark's used socks that he had been wearing the whole day and my uncomfortable shoes. That's a true sister-in-law!

Mama and Papa Wyatt Come to Texas...

Last week Ma and Pa Wyatt came to Texas to visit us, it was so fun having them here, Thanks for coming! Above is Roy and Brenda in front of the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium.
We went to a Texas Rangers vs. Boston Redsox game.

The Dallas Skyline from the freeway

We went to the temple, I love this picture because as Clark was setting up the timer on the camera, Brenda decided that she wanted us all to stand up on the edge of the fountain so we could see the Angel Moroni in the picture, but the timer was about to go off and no one else could get up on the edge of the fountain except her! I love it!

One Year!!

Well, Clark and I passed the one year mark! When we got married my old roommate, Christina Yamaguchi, sent us a present and a card that told me to not listen to what everyone said about the first year being terrible and that the first year was great.

I COMPLETELY agree with her, the past year has been the best of my life and I can't wait for this next one! Here's a little bit of our story:

Clark and I met on a Co-ed basketball team at BYU-Idaho in January 2007.

We dated a lot that semester, but both thought that he would be in California for the summer.

The California internship fell through and the next day someone in Rexburg called him and offered him an internship in Rexburg.

That summer was the funnest of my life, I was reading in my journal last night about it and I wrote "I love being with Clark so much, I'm having a hard time focusing on school!" So true, It's a wonder I made it through nursing school!

We dated until May of 2008 (there were one or two break ups:), when we got engaged and married in August 2008.

And now we're in Texas...Who'd have thought!

The Fam!

I miss these guys.

People at work can't believe that I come from a family of ten, and that Clark comes from a family of eight, so I thought I'd put up the pictures to prove it!

Bugs

This was supposed to be on the post below!

What a day!

It all started when the make shift ice pack I had made burst open at 3:45 am all over me and my side of the bed.

(Background: The day before was 105 degrees, our air conditioning bill was 211$ so we had the air turned WAY down, and I had assured Clark multiple times that I always used to make ice packs by putting ice cubes in a ziplock bag as a child, I told him that they always seemed to leak during the night so I had double bagged ours this time so he had NOTHING to worry about. I think he even said "famous last words" after I told him this, he didn't use his, I went to sleep hugging mine!)

I got up changed my clothes, layed some towels down and asked Clark if he would scoot over. He was a very loving husband and scooted over and we shared 1/2 of a queen bed for the rest of the night.

(Note: while reading the rest of the post remember that Clark and I are both taking 5 week classes right now, and every free second we have should be spent studying!)

Woke up...it had rained...thus it was cooler...so we went from 7-9 to play tennis at a school nearby.

From 9-1 we tended our friends daughter so they could go out, we had way to much fun playing with her.

At about 1:30 pm we decided that we wanted to go do something spiratic and fun, so we took off for six flags. We spent the rest of the afternoon riding the most intense rides I've ever been on. By 6:00pm we were both nauseated and ready to go home.

(Clarks hair was so funny after the rides, it was flying up in front, we even heard the people in front of us say..."look at that kids hair!")

We went home, ate dinner, and talked ourselves into stuyding...by 7:00 pm we had decided to make home made strawberry ice cream.

By 8:00 pm the sound of the screeching bugs that constantly make a very loud noise outside our apartment was driving Clark crazy. He usually disappears for about ten minutes when the bugs are bugging him and climbs the trees, finds out where they are, and throws rocks at him. He told me that he would love to see me try to get rid of the bugs because you have to be really "creative" to find them. For the rest of the night we shot bugs out of trees with a water gun.

9:30 We went to bed. No ice pack. We couldn't have studied for more than 1/2 hour...

Pictures...

Here are some pictures that are from the last couple months that I thought were fun. I've been trying to upload a video that I took of our apartment, but can't get it to work. Any suggestions?

These pictures are of when my parents came down to Texas, the day we left to drive to Texas and the last day of my previous job (I don't particularly love cats, and my fellow employees know this and made me a cake in a kitty-litter box with gram-cracker kitty litter, and melted tootsie roll droppings...it was pretty funny...my boss Jen is one of those creative super-mom's)
