Thanksgiving and Casting

I was lame and forgot my camera on Thanksgiving. So here's a picture I stole from Angie's blog to help me remember what we did this Thanksgiving! We were with the Wyatt's at Roy and Brenda's. The food was delicious, and it was so fun to see everyone! We missed Paige/Matt/Robert/Roger/Alicia/Kendall!

Some things that we are most grateful for this year are:

The Savior, Jesus Christ, and his atonement for us
Being closer to family
Kyson and each other
Our educational opportunities
The work we've had to get us through out educational opportunities
Wonderful friends

I also went to Pocatello for my weekend intensive training, and I got another standardized patient exam out of the way (I think I passed, I haven't heard anything about failing it yet:). We also learned to cast and splint. This is the kind of stuff I love, I love freezing stuff, cutting stuff off, suturing, dressings, etc.

And last bit of good news...I finished my clinicals for the semester yesterday, so I now have a month and a week off...it is the calm before the storm, because I'm lining up my schedule next semester, and it is going to be CRAZY!

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Hang on to time!

This is something my mom always said to me, "hang on to time!" Now I realize why she said it. Kyson seems like he has grown up so much in the past few weeks. Clark and I used to say, "it will be fun when Kyson can turn over, crawl, walk, etc."

But we both agree that he can stop growing now. We don't want him to get a day older.

He is our little buddy. He is so happy, helpful, smart, energetic, sweet lately!!!

He helps me set the table, clean the mirrrors, vacuum, cook, take out the trash, check the mail, and has started pointing to his bottom when he is stinky. He is fairly obedient, and understands most things I ask him to do. The neighbors downstairs have named him "happy feet," because they hear him prancing around all day long.

I never want to forget the way he walks around the house saying "mama, dada, mama, dada, mama, dada..." over and over again. Or how he steals something that I have on my lap and says "ha-ha-ha" and gives me that toothy grin. Or how he carries a matchbox car in both hands ALL DAY LONG. He never puts them down, EVER. Or how he likes wearing his snow boots around the house. Or how he pulls me into the front room each morning to build our lego garage for his cars for the day. Each day we do a new design, and they are getting pretty elaborate. Or how he loves to go out side and look for dogs, trucks, tractors, birds, and airplanes. Or how he wants me to do EVERYTHING with him. If he is playing cars, he wants me sitting next to him playing. If he is watching a movie, he wants me sitting next to him watching. This gets old at times, and makes it hard to get things done, but I realize that he won't be like this forever, and I should cherish it while it lasts.

Cornbreads come to Twin

Our good friends the Corbridge's came up for the weekend. Of course we played games, crafted, talked about politics, played games, and played games. Thanks for coming Cornbreads, we love you guys!

Occupy Wallstreet debate with accompanying fox news, cnn, and you tube clips

Garrett and Kyson played so cute together. They spent so much time together in Texas, but Kyson was really to young to "play," so this time was perfect.

Went to a bounce house, Kyson, Garrett and I loved it. I'll admit it, I had a really fun time and was loving taking Kyson down all the slides!

And it wouldn't be a proper visit without Amber and I doing some craft. The best thing about this one, it was FREE. Our husbands were so happy. We used a hanger and tied these scraps of fabric around it.

My Birthday and Halloween

Well, it's official. I'm 25. A quarter of a century.

I had a great birthday, Clark and I went on a date out to dinner and shopping, which I must say that shopping without Kyson is blissful! Then we carved pumpkins. I don't know how my mom carved pumpkins with us every year...I got out the table cloth, set everything up, let Kyson pull the insides out of his pumpking, and before I knew it there was goop and seeds flying everywhere. Clark and I finished carving ours once Kyson was in bed!

On my actual birthday, we went over to Don and Angie's for a little Halloween FHE. Kyson was the cutest little tiger in the world. I may or may not have planned the party, but it was the only day that worked for our schedules, I didn't mean to plan my own party! My only regret is not getting a picture of Angie in her cute pumpkin costume!

It was so fun to see everyone's costumes. We played games (I may or may not have given out prizes that included whoopie cushions, and I'm sure Angie is hating me right about now!), made carmel apples, and opened presents. Thanks for a wonderful family for making me feel so special!

Do these costumes look familiar? Last year I was the ref and Clark was Jason Kid, so this year we really got creative and changed costumes. Next year we are going to think of something really spectacular to be!

Williams Family

A couple weeks ago my second littlest sister, Aubrey, turned 11. All she wanted for her birthday was to come spent a couple days with Kyson (and Clark and me, but really we know it was all about Kyson). So my mom drove her up on Tuesday, and we had a great time. She helped me out so much. She gave Kyson his bath every morning, tended him while I showered, cleaned, etc, and kept me company. We did crafts, went shopping, went on walks, and had movie parties.

Then on Thursday, my whole family came up. We played frisbee golf of "Frolf" as my brothers called it. We had a little Halloween party and watched Clark and my favorite Halloween show "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken" (if you haven't seen this I recommend it...love Don Knotts!) They stayed over Thursday night and Friday we spent the day in the South Hills roasting hotdogs, 4 wheeling, playing games, etc. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time. I love when my family comes to visit!!!!!

Idaho Spuds

I have come to LOVE Idaho, it is such a great place to live!  I love the open space, the agricultural community, the fact that everyone's kids ride horses, etc. And one of my favorite things I've grown to love is gleaning potatoes at potato harvest time. I don't know if it's the beautiful October weather, the fact that I get to walk through a field and pick up free food or the fact that I never have to buy potatoes, but whatever the reason, I love it.

Clark's parents have some people in their ward who grow potatoes, so when they harvest their crop, they call them and invite them to come over to the field and pick up the left over potaotes. Kyson loved watching the huge "broom-broom-brooms" harvest the potatoes, and loved walking through the dirt all afternoon. In about an hours time we gleaned enough for Roy and Brenda, Clark and I, and my family for the year.

Get me out of this truck!
