Suturing on a pigs foot

I don't know if it's just because I go to school in Idaho or not, but we learned to suture this semester on a dead pigs foot. It was kind of weird...and smelly. But whatever works right?

Clark has two more weeks left in his semester and I have one more week.
We are looking forward to a little bit of a break this summer!
(Clark is still taking classes, just not as many, and I have the summer off)

I am 6/8 the way done with my school...only two semesters to go! Yee haw!

I am a mother

I don't know how many of you have read the book by Jane Clayson Johnson called "I am a mother," but my mom gave it to me last mother's day and I read it and loved it. She was a very successful news broadcaster in New York, and now is a stay-at-home mom and she talks about the fulfillment she gets from being a mother, and that it is better than anything she experienced in her career.

I feel the same way as Jane. I LOVE LOVE LOVE being a mom. I didn't know I could love a little person so STINKIN' much. But I do. I have had to keep working so that Clark can get through school, and I also am going to school, and luckily I love my job and my schooling. I enjoy what I'm learning and it makes me feel secure that if something ever happened to Clark I would be able to help provide for our family.

But, the most important thing to me, and the thing I enjoy most about my life is making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, playing cars, reading books, singing songs, playing hide-and-seek, going to the park, and just watching my son learn a million new things each day. He makes me laugh everyday and definitely keeps me on my toes. I love his big cheesy toothy grin and his open mouthed slobbery kisses.

He turns one in a week. I can't believe it's been a year. Here are some things I'm loving about Kyson right now.

-He does something to be funny and looks at Clark and I am waits for us to laugh
-He puts his hands in fists and shakes them in front of your face and starts jabbering in a high pitched voice. This is his way of "tickling" you and you are supposed to laugh
-He says Dada, and thank-you. Yes, I am slightly proud that this is one of his first words, I don't think he knows what it means, but he says it after he gives us a kiss or after he hands us something or we hand him something
-If I point to a picture of a cow and say moo, he says moo
-He is so so so friendly. He has never been scared of strangers. It doesn't matter who we are sitting by in church, he is sitting on their lap in less than 5 minutes. Same on plane rides!
-He is sleeping through the night (We let him scream two nights in a row for 30 minutes and by the third night, he was sleeping all the way through! Best thing ever!)
-He is walking along everything, and stands independently all the time, but hasn't ventured out and taken any steps yet.
-He has two teeth on bottom and three teeth on top, these three top teeth all came through in the same day.
-He loves little kids. He lights up when he sees one and chases them down and pulls himself up on them and wants to touch them, laugh with them, and do whatever they are doing.
-He is still very easy going, can entertain himself, and is a very happy boy!

Loves our closet where he one by one takes out all my clothes

Loves being out side, slides and parks

Loves being wherever Garrett is

Yes Paige, he's sporting the Rangler's these days!

I woke up from sleeping all day after work and Clark had these flowers for me, and he said that Kyson was holding the balloon in the store and wouldn't put it down, so he got that too!
