Back to the simple life.

We've been in our house for a couple weeks now, and things are settling down.
I feel like I can finally just be a mom and enjoy my kids.
It snowed, and we spent the day sledding and drinking hot chocolate.
We went to the library and to preschool reading time.
We do puzzles and read books and make treats.

I'm really enjoying it, and the kids are thriving on a schedule and some fun activities for them.

We are still doing preschool with our friends from our old ward...so that gets us out of the house once a week. But other than that, we've just been sticking around and enjoying our new place.

If you want you came come over and lie on the ground and watch the Olympics with us!

I just wanted to take a picture of this so we have it documented somewhere. It is a picture that Clark's grandma, Clejo Knight, helped him paint.

And below you will see a daily occurrence for us. I let the kids watch a show while I jump in the shower. Every time James finds a way to get in with me. I don't know if Kyson opens the door (he says he doesn't) or if James can open doors (I've never seen him do it...).

But none the less, he finds a way to crash my shower.

There isn't a door on our shower. Which is awesome, I don't have to clean it.
But it also lets him just streak on in.

And I always get the kids dressed in the morning before I shower, so he goes through at least two pairs of clothes each day, because he gets his first pair soaked in the shower with me.

Well that's all. Here's to getting Clark graduated, putting in our yard, and just enjoying life!

House Update #5

We are in our house, and are LOVING it.

It's so nice to have a place to call our own.

I haven't hung even one picture up. I'm too scared to put a hole in the wall. And I don't think I like any of my old decorations...so it is pretty bare boned right now.

We don't have a couch. Kyson doesn't have a bed.

But if you come to visit, we'll give you the best seat in the house...the red recliner!

Here's a couple pictures. My favorite parts of the house are: the pantry, the extended garage where our treadmill is, and the backyard.

We moved in before the siding was finished. The driveway still isn't done because of all the rain. So Clark built a pathway into the garage. We went for two weeks without an oven, but it finally came! We are slowly getting settled.

January 2014 and House Update #4

January was a blur.

Our builder is know for speed.

He broke ground on November 17th, 2013.
We moved in on January 25th, 2014.

Needless to say, we spent most of January in our car, driving to the house, meeting with subcontractors, picking out final colors, tile, grout, fireplace stuff, etc.

We both were also picking up extra shifts at work to make sure we had a little savings left over after the house.

We enjoyed our last couple weeks in Roy and Brenda's basement.

Kyson started primary, and loves it! He caries his scriptures, and folds his arms and is adorable.
(However, Grandma Brenda says he is quite the show-off during singing time, and sings "I am a child of God" VERY loudly. She also said he just hops right up and starts leading with the chorister whenever he feels like it...and encourages the other sunbeams to do the same:)

We also took a day to do something that was purely fun. We haven't done this for a long time because of the house. We went up to the South Hills and went sledding. James slept the whole time. And Clark, Kyson and I had a blast. We were all giggling like little kids for hours!
