Sledding

I love my Mom to death, however, she has an endurance for sledding that I will never comprehend. Growing up I remember sitting on my tube at the top of the hill after one hour of sledding fun, only to have my Mom continue to enjoy sledding for three more hours. My siblings will have to validate my memories on this one...but I remember 4 hour sledding excursions!

Anyways, Kyson is my kind of sledder! He loves a good 20-30 minutes out in the snow, and then we bolt inside for a cup of hot chocolate! Don, Angie and kids came over a couple Saturdays ago for sledding, cocoa and chili. Since then Clark, Kyson and I have gone out a couple times. It's been so cold lately that we don't go outside much, a little sledding here and there, and lots of family movie nights!

I do have some Christmas pictures to post, however, I want a picture of us all in our Christmas jammies, and I haven't been able to get one yet. So...one of these days I'll get motivated and get us all in matching pj's for a picture, and then I'll post our Christmas.

Family Pictures 2012

One Sunday we got brave and did family pictures with Don and Angie's family. We all dressed up and I took their pictures, and then Angie took ours. I think they turned out great...good work Angie!!

I love this picture with all my heart.

help!

Thanksgiving 2012

My family came up to Twin Falls for Thanksgiving this year. We had told them that because of Clark's Christmas lights we would only be able to come to Utah for the day. My family is awesome and offered to come and help Clark hang lights for free if we would have Thanksgiving dinner here too. Since James was only one month old, my Mom did all the food, and we just had to provide the table! It was so fun to be all together again (minus Levi...who is in Tonga). And Kyson loved all the friends. He still constantly talks about Baby E, Bubba, Ty, Aubs and Ala.

James and his second cousin, Caleb with their Grandpa's
On Thanksgiving night we headed over to my Aunt's house, who lives in Twin, for pie. My grandparents were there for Thanksgiving and it was fun to see my cousins again.

Football...football...football

Bastian and Williams cousins

Clark and my brother, Mckay, also went on a pheasant hunt on Thanksgiving morning with some guys from our old ward. They got four birds pretty quick! I was just glad that the other guys wanted to take the birds home, because I didn't want to have to clean and cook them!

We felt so lucky to be surrounded by our family, with so many blessings on Thanksgiving. We have been blessed with a new healthy baby and Kyson. We have a warm house to sleep in, enough to eat, and are surrounding by so many people we love.

James Douglas Blessing Day

We blessed our sweet baby James on November 25, 2012 in our ward (Hazelton 1st). We were lucky enough to have all of my family there and half of Clark's family. He was blessed by Clark and my Dad, Mckay, Nathan, Jed, Don, Bishop Pincock, Brother Miller and Brother Pauley. Clark gave a beautiful blessing and after church we came over to our house for dinner. Angie took some pictures of James that turned out so good.

Becca and Nathan woke up early Sunday morning and drove here from Rexburg. We were so glad they could come...shingles and all!

Ky's Arm

A week after Kyson broke his arm, he got his real blue cast on. He told the cast lady he wanted yellow...but they didn't have yellow...so blue it was! It was so big and bulky that we were SOOOOO happy to get it off. His doctor was Dr. Mark Wright and he had his cast on for 5 1/2 weeks.

I warned him that the machine that took his cast off would make a funny noise and would vibrate and feel funny on his arm. He was a champ and laughed while she cut it off saying, "feels funny Mom...tickles me..."

In amazement that there is still an arm under there!

All better!!

"My two boys"...2-Months-Old...puttin' up the tree!

We broke a major rule and put up our Christmas before Thanksgiving! My family was coming up for Thanksgiving, and I wanted it to look festive...plus I knew we were going down to Utah for Christmas and I wanted to have plenty of time to enjoy it.

Kyson thought that decorating the tree was a little too hard with pants on...it was easier in underwear!

Also, some pictures of the boys. I always say "I've got my two boys" when I'm holding Kyson and James. So now Kyson says it all the time when he is holding James..."got my two boys..." He loves having James lay in his bed at night before bedtime. He loves giving James toys or covering him with a blanket when he's "brr...brr."

Oh, and James is two months old. Weird how fast time seems to be going. He continues to be sweet. He's waking up once a night around 4 am and then going back to sleep until seven. He has cradle cap bad (just like Kyson). He HATES the binky!!!!! And Clark and I are so sad about this. Kyson's bink saved us!

Building a snow man with Dad on the first snow! He's a little bit of a wimp in the cold weather...we're going to have to work on cold weather endurance!
