Tamarack

This past weekend we went up to Tamarack with Clarks Brothers and their families (Jed, Don, Bert and us). We stayed in a little house, which I believe was meant for eight people, and we bravely had 21 of us in it! We went skiing, hot tubing, played games, looked at the cool ice sculptures in McCall, and enjoyed being together. Thanks Jed and Jami for planning it!

Hang on to time.

I hope he doesn't grow up one more day. I hope he always wants me or Clark to sit like this with him.

Photography By Kyson.

How is it that my two-year-old, who still needs help unzipping his pants to go to the bathroom, can fully operate my i-phone? It's amazing. These are some pictures I found on there that were taken by him. Not bad Kyson, not bad!

Bruders

These two love each other. I have been so surprised. Kyson hasn't seemed to struggle with jealousy or hatred at all towards James. He is always trying to help and comfort James. If James is crying, Kyson instantly runs over to him and sings him "I am a Child of God." It is incredibly precious and I need to get it on video. He loves holding his hand, giving him kisses and "he." He calls his hugs "he" because he says "heeeeee" when he is giving you one.

And even though Kyson smothers James, James lights up like a light whenever Kyson comes into the room. He follows him around with his head and eyes and laughs and smiles at whatever Kyson does.

The other day I heard Kyson yelling, "help Mom!" I went into find him stuck on the crib, after trying to give James a kiss in bed. I am so thankful for these two boys. They give my life so much purpose and bring me so much joy.

I was wearing a headband one day and Kyson decided that he wanted to wear one of my headbands. We were going out shopping, and it took me an hour to convince him that he should wear Daddy's sweatband instead of my flowery headband. Since then, he wears this thing all the time.

Christmas 2012

Christmas started a few days early at our house, since Clark and I caught word that Santa had a big package to deliver to Kyson! Kyson was pretty cute and really caught on to Santa, he was just disappointed that the big guy didn't stick around to play with him!

We drove down to Utah a couple days early so we could see some of my roomates and their families. Can you tell whose son is whose?
(Bridger-Mckell, Kyson-Mine, Lincoln-Kati)

Love these girls with all my heart. Some of the best friends I've ever had!
(Kati Layton Barlow, Synthia Smoot Simonsen, Me, Tarisa Alder Todd, Natalie Wilson Merrill, Mckell Sorensen Poulton)

The next day we got together with the SBO's. I was a Student Body Officer my senior year and these folks are some of my favorite people ever. It was so fun to see them again!

My Grandma and Grandpa Williams are such incredible people. They are so good at keeping our family together. They took all of us adult grandkids out to dinner for their present to us, and then brought the boys by some toys.

Cutest Baby Jesus and shepherd ever!

Kyson threw up the day before Christmas and then one by one, everyone else got sick, Lauren, Clark, Blake, Tyler, My Dad, Mckay and Aubs. Me, my mom, and James escaped the bug! But it was still a great Christmas, we partied with buckets nearby!

We did a group present for my parents, but it was mostly kitched stuff we got them, so I called Mckay and put him in charge of a "little something manly for dad." This is what he got. I don't know if my mom or dad was more surprised.

Kyson made Clark this shirt for back rubs and gave him some cars to go along with it.

My sweet Grandma Peterson. One of my heroes.

Of course. gingerbread pancakes, bananas, whip cream, bacon and sausage by my parents.

I made us all Boise State PJ pants and got BYU shirts. I didn't get a picture of all of us, and James outgrew his pants before Christmas even came.

We had a great holiday, and missed seeing Clark's parents, who are still on their mission in Africa. Next year will be a great reunion!
