Clark graduated!!!!!!!!!!!
We are so glad he's done for awhile that we almost don't know what to do with ourselves! Actually we know exactly what to do. Spend time as a family, go on bike rides, work in the yard, have movie parties, go on dates, etc.
He still has to study for and take the NCLEX before he can start his new job...but we are so glad the school part is over!
| We still hadn't gotten a picture of us in front of our house...so here it is. |
| My parents drove up from Utah for Clark's graduation and back the same night. We loved having them here! |
Just a tender mercy that I have to write down so I don't forget it someday:
Clark has been applying for jobs. He had a couple interviews and the ICU (where he works now) wanted to hire him, but they wanted him to take a 8 week critical care course and do three clinical days per week without pay as training, and then they would decide if they would hire. We didn't think we could go 8 weeks with him working full time without pay...so we were a little worried about that option.
His friend who works at the hospital texted him and told him that the manager of the unit support team just put in a offer for him for 'full time nights' and that Clark should hear back from HR in the next day or two.
I was happy that another job offer was coming, but VERY worried about nights. I've done nights before. They are hard. I was worried about Clark's health holding up if he worked nights. I was worried about our family life with him working nights. I was worried about how in the world I would keep a 4-year-old and 18-month-old quiet enough so he could sleep during the day. Needless to say, I was really worried about it.
My mom is always telling me to pray for specifics. Instead of asking Heavenly Father to help us generally, ask for specific things we need or want.
So I prayed and prayed and prayed. I told Heavenly Father why I was worried about nights. I told him that if at all possible I thought that days would be better for our family. Two days later Clark got a call from HR offering him a full time day position with the unit support team. I felt so grateful, but not only grateful, I felt like my Heavenly Father knew me and knew our family and was aware of our needs. I am so grateful for a loving Father in Heaven who is always there.
